Jamco Fire Resistant Cabinet

Hi. I am looking for fire resistant storage from Jamco and I was wondering what the difference is between a BR model and BX model.

Thank you for your inquiry! There are not many differences between the Jamco BR Model and Jamco BX Model. Both feature a double-wall construction that consists of fourteen (14) gauge steel on the outside and eighteen (18) gauge steel on the inside. Additionally, both units having locking systems, adjustable steel shelves, and leveling feet. This is aimed to provide you with the most secure, safe, protecting, and sturdy fire resistant cabinet possible.

The only real difference between these metal cabinets is the type of doors they feature. The BR model contains two (2) separate doors that open up 180 degrees and are manual close. The BX model has a single bi-fold door. Choosing between the two is up to you and can depend on preferences of who will be using the doors and what you will be storing. Two separate doors might be easier for storing larger or bulkier items.
